I can't say enough positives about this trip! Blaz was the most charismatic and knowledgeable guide I have ever seen. He nailed the perfect trip for us with lots of fun riding, cultural immersion, and local history in one of the most beautiful places on the European continent. We had nice pockets of downtime to recharge and explore on our own. The routine was never there because each day felt like a brand new journey. I wish the trip went on for another 3 weeks as I felt like I only dipped my toe in the water of Slovenia and its history.
My husband and I travelled to Slovenia all the way from New Zealand for our 26/8 - 2/9/23 Alps to Adriatic Mtb Adventure & had no idea what to expect. First time doing this sort of organised group Mtb ride and first time in Slovenia!!
Our experience with H+I was wonderful - absolutely loved it!!
The head office communication early on was always quick and on point. Catherine and Matt were all over any queries we had.
What can I say about Matej and Marko? Our 2 guides for the trip. Super lovely, professional, calm, great sense of humour and incredibly experienced in all things 'bike'.
We had a bit of inclement weather but you definitely can't predict nature and our guides always ensured great experiences even when we couldn't do a particular ride one day for safety reasons.
Nothing was a problem and if Matej and Marko are a reflection of the H+I guides globally then this company is clearly able to obtain the cream of the crop.
We loved our riding but soon realised it was about a lot more. We learnt about Slovenia/its history, ate some great food and partook in sampling some truly nice wines. The accommodation was always top notch and the Slovenian people very welcoming.
Our ride group were from different countries, ages and stages, but it was a really nice vibe and we enjoyed getting to know everyone and sharing the riding experience over the 8 days.
We were then lucky enough to continue our travels which included a campervan and lots more riding in the stunning Slovenia and surrounding countries.
In a nutshell, we both found H+I adventures and their guides to be the ultimate consummate professionals and can highly recommend to anyone considering this type of adventure!
