Greece; but not as you know it. No beach umbrellas, no islands, no blue-and-white villages. This is northern Greece, a place of forests, mountains, remote villages, and a vibrant city life. A place where tourism has yet to leave a big impression and you can experience authentic local life, whilst riding glorious singletrack.
We’ll start our adventure in Thessaloniki, Greece’s second city, with its 5,000 cafés and busy port. From there, we head off into the forests and mountains of Macedonia and Thessaly to explore remote trails known and cared for by only a handful of locals (and a lot of tortoises!). Changing gear again, we arrive at Meteora, a UNESCO World Heritage Site known for its monolithic rock formations and monasteries. Our final goal is one, single 20km descent with a surprise finish.
