These items are noted as ‘ESSENTIAL’ for very good reasons! For your own safety & comfort please bring them all. If you have any queries regarding any item in the kit list please get in touch with us.

Personal Safety Essentials

The following items are essential for your comfort and safety on tour and you must bring everything mentioned
  • Insect repellent and bite relief cream
  • Sunscreen (SPF 30+)
  • Mountain biking back pack – 16 litre
  • Hydration system (Camelbak)
  • Warm clothes for mornings and evenings
  • Windbreaker
  • Light, long-sleeved fleece layer
  • Biking socks
  • Long-sleeved mountain bike shirts
  • Short-sleeved mountain bike shirts
  • Base layers (for riding)
  • Waterproof jacket
  • Overshorts (‘baggies’)
  • Padded cycling shorts/ trousers
  • Bike gloves (full-fingered not fingerless)
  • Biking glasses
  • Elbow pads
  • Knee pads
  • Mountain bike-specific shoes (flats or SPDs)
  • Mountain bike-specific helmet (current and fit for purpose)
  • Lightweight full-face helmet

Personal Comfort Kit

The following items will be useful for your comfort on tour and we recommend you bring everything mentioned
  • Chamois cream
  • Snack bars/ trail snacks
  • Advil or other medication for effects of altitide
  • International travel adapter and/ converter
  • Small bottle of laundry detergent
  • Packable towel
  • Hat and gloves for cooler evenings/ mornings
  • Personal toiletries (shampoo, soap, moisturiser, etc.)
  • Sun hat
  • Swimwear
  • Flip-flops/ sandals
  • Re-usable drinks bottle
  • Ear plugs (for church bells!)

Own Bike essentials

The following items are essential for ensuring that we can deal with all mechanical issues on the tour and you must bring/ have on your bike everything mentioned
  • Dropper seat post
  • Chain-specific quick link
  • Inner tubes (x 2 ) or bottle of tubeless fluid
  • Multi-tool
  • Bottle of chain lube
  • Bike-specific brake pads x3 (set)
  • Bike-specfic rear mech hanger
