Meet PELDEN

RECEIVING HIS FIRST BIKE AT AGE 13 SHAPED THE LIFE OF BHUTAN MTB GUIDE, PELDEN DORJI

Pelden worked as a research officer advising his government on various policy matters and his work involved walking ancient trails to explore the corners of his country to map out potential tourism experiences. That’s when the idea to start putting tire marks on trails that were never ridden before came about. His zest for life, travel, music and bikes eventually took over his 9-5 work, and he started working as Bhutan’s premier mountain bike guide.

Winner of Asian Enduro Series under the Masters Category, he now focuses on building the biking community at home and shares his passion with other adventurous riders from around the world.

“Since then I’ve been actively involved in the mountain bike scene in Bhutan and sharing my passion for my home trails with other adventurous riders from around the world.”
