The Doors famously sang, ‘the West is the best’ and last year, we dropped into Oakridge, Oregon to test the theory. Our results were clear – this place has something special. That’s why we’re making our return in 2027.
Oakridge is the self-proclaimed ‘Mountain Bike Capital of the Northwest’, and after a few days of riding here, you’ll understand why. With the Westfir Lodge as our base, we’ll spend the weekend shuttling some of the most iconic trails in the area. Over 3 days, you’ll descend nearly 25,000 feet through centuries-old fir trees and on some of the finest loam in the country.
From Friday to Sunday, we’ll roll out on 2 shuttled rides per day. Don’t be fooled by the ride stats – Oregon doesn’t give its vert away easily – and you’ll be hit with a couple of punchy climbs throughout the weekend. Every day provides a full-value backcountry epic, each paid off with one massive top-to-bottom descent all the way to the valley floor.
Rocks, roots and hero dirt await you in the PNW – we’ll see you there.
Yeti has partnered with H+I Adventures, MTB travel and events experts, to bring these incredible Yeti Gatherings to life.
You’re a mountain biker. We’re mountain bikers. Let’s celebrate this.
Yeti Gathering is a long-running tradition that began more than 25 years ago. Starting life as a race season-ending party first held at Snowmass, CO, the Yeti Gatherings have become one of the most special traditions of Yeti Cycles, and a way to honor our Roots and Yeti Freaks.
For those who bleed Turq, the Colorado Gathering is an annual pilgrimage to share and honor our love for mountain biking, friends, family, revelry, and the great outdoors. We’ve come a long way from that first rowdy weekend in Snowmass, but the sentiment remains the same.
Now we’ve taken the stoke on the road with our Regional Gatherings! Smaller, more intimate but just as epic, our Regional Gatherings are a reflection of our ever-growing Yeti Freak family.
Whether you’re a life-long ‘Freak’ or you just bought your first Yeti, it doesn’t matter – you’re invited and encouraged to join. There’s only one rule: you need to show up on a Yeti. Come meet the people behind the bikes, make long-lasting memories, and experience the ultimate MTB weekend. Time to let loose and let your Yeti ‘Freak’ flag fly.
For this Regional Gathering we’ve tweaked the recipe of the long established ‘Colorado Gathering’ format in order to give Yeti Freaks in the PNW a more intimate and unique experience. This multi-day adventure will be smaller scale, and more ‘on the grid’ than the Colorado Gatherings. Mark your calendars – we’re coming to trails near you.
We’ll settle in at a beautiful lodge, bar and restaurant in Oakridge, Oregon, ideally located at the bottom of the trails. The lodge will act as home for event HQ, with further accommodation, car camping, and RV spots reserved nearby too. We will have 2 shuttled rides a day and then return back to base to cool off in the river after an unforgettable day on the bike.
Last year, demand was so high that we sold out rooms in Westfir Lodge within days, so we’ve partnered up with accommodation providers in Westfir, Oakridge and the surrounding area to make sure we have enough rooms for all you North West Freaks! We’ll fill up Westfir Lodge, then allocate rooms in other local accommodations on a first-come, first-served basis. The furthest away accommodations will be around a 10-minute drive and we’ll provide free transport to/ from event HQ each day.
All relevant lodging and food are included in each ticket price, so all you have to do is round up your fellow Yeti Freaks, book your place and roll up ready for an unforgettable weekend.
