Local Switzerland MTB guide, Dominik Hug, is ready to show you the best of the Swiss Alps!
Dominik starting riding as a kid in the 90s, and grew up in the town of Olten, where the first MTB races in Switzerland took place. Growing up surrounded by stunning trails and other passionate riders, it would make sense that he embarked on a racing career! After some years, Dominik left his geologist job to focus on mountain bikes, and now is a full time guide, as well as helping improve the MTB infrastructure on a national level.
“I enjoy working with people, so combining this with my passion for mountain biking was my dream. I consider myself very lucky to now be earning a living doing what I love.
“The nice thing about MTB is the egalitarian approach. On the bike, we’re all looking for the same thing. It doesn’t matter where you’re from or who you are – first and foremost, we’re all people looking for a good ride. As a guide, I get to play a part in my guests’ ability to switch off and leave everyday life behind, and truly be in the moment.”
